FAQ

Q: It is my first time doing lash extensions, how do I know which lash extension suits me?

A short consultation will be done prior your lash appointment to understand your needs.  Hence, please arrive 10 min before your lash appointment.  We will require you to fill in a form before the consultation.

Q: I have sensitive and allergic eyes , can I still do lash extensions?

There are many types of eye conditions which may not permit you to do lash extensions. However, it is not recommended to do lash extensions should you have history of very sensitive and allergic eyes.

Do share with us your concern before booking an appointment with us.

The lash extensions procedure is not good for anyone with the following:

  • Damaged lashes or lashes with gaps (this treatment may make the gaps more noticeable),

  • Active eye infections or disorders of any kind, trichotillomania (habitual pulling out of lashes),

  • Recent chemo treatments (you will need to wait at least a year from your last treatment.)

  • Recent Eye Surgery

  • Very sensitive eyes

  • Skin allergy around the eyes

  • Blepharitis (Eyelid inflammation)

  • Hay fever sufferers / watery eyes

  • Pregnancy during the 1st trimester

  • Medication Thyroxin (in some cases can prevent lashes from curling)

When in doubt, always consult with your physician. Kindly please disclose any conditions prior the session. Kindly do respect our decision for rejecting your appointment should you have any history of eye/skin allergies. In such case, rejection of service is possible on the day of appointment and the deposit will be refunded to you via bank transfer. We hope for your kind understanding.

Q: What kind of lashes and glue do you use ?

There are many types of lashes in the market. At Fluffmylashes, we use only high grade quality lashes and products from Taiwan, Japan and Korea. Lashes are soft and lightweight and feels natural like real lashes. We have different curl types that suit different lash and eyes. We will select the right type of thickness and curl base on your natural lashes.

The glue we are using is generally lower in fumes but it is not developed for sensitive eyes. We are using anti allergy gel which will be placed beside you during the procedure which may help with those who ever experienced lash extensions procedure and have sensitivity to glue fumes. However, if you have not done the lash extensions procedure before and have history of very sensitive and allergic eyes this service is not recommended for you.

The current lash curl types and thickness we have are as follows: J, C, D, DD, U Curls and in 0.12mm, 0.15mm, 0.07mm thickness. We will continue to bring in the latest lash trends to our services.

Q: It has only been 2 weeks, my extensions is starting to fall off when I wake up every morning and after my gym sessions. Is this normal?

It is normal to see some extensions to fall off after some time due to many reasons :

  • Naturally, your lashes shed and are replaced with a new younger lash.  You will lose up to one or more of your natural lashes every single day. This is totally normal and natural.

  • Overly oily skin can break down the glue adhesive, causing the extensions to have difficulty staying on the natural lashes. Using oily skincare products is a big no!  Like oily skin, oily products can break down the adhesive of your extension.

  • Excessive rubbing or picking at the extension can loosen the adhesive and cause the extension to fall out.  This can also lead to the loss of your natural lashes too.  If your own lashes are falling out, there won’t be enough natural lashes to apply the extension to – so do not rub!

  • Not cleaning your lash extensions can invite infection or inflammation in the hair follicle. Cleansing your lash extensions is also important.  You should cleanse your lash extensions with a professional lash foam cleanser together with a cleansing lash brush and do it every 2 to 3 days. It is to keep your lashes clean and free from dirt and most importantly removes germs!  Product is available for sale. Limited stocks available, please enquire for stock availability.

  • All of us have different sleeping positions that make us the most comfortable at night, but those who sleep on their stomachs or in a weird position might have issues with their lash extensions falling out.  Smashing your face into a pillow every night can cause your extensions to bend or rub against the adhesive.

  • It is recommended that you do not get your new lash extensions wet for at least 4hours after they are applied because the glue is still curing.  If you do get your new extensions wet, they can crystalize and cause irritation, which leads to harmful eye rubbing.  After they have fully dried, you are free to swim and workout as usual.

Q: When can I do a refill?

  • Refills is only for lashes that is done by Fluffmylashes. We do not refill lash extensions set from other shop.

  • Refill is to be done within 2 weeks from the date of new set.

  • At least 70% of lash extensions must be intact per eye to do a refill, otherwise a new set have to be done.

  • Due to hygiene purposes, only one-time refill can be done per new set.

Q: How should I remove my lash extensions?

You may book a removal session with us without doing a new set. Otherwise lashes done by Fluffmylashes will be removed prior your new set on the day of your appointment.

Do take note of the following removal policy:

  • Complimentary if done in-house + new set on the same day

  • $10 for removal service only without doing a new set

  • $15 for removal service if done at other salon (Single & Volume), $20 for cluster lash removal

Q: How do I maintain my lash extensions?

  • Avoid getting your extensions wet for at least 4hrs after your appointment.

  • Do not rub your eyes as it will risk breakage of your own lashes with the extensions.

  • No usage of oil based make up or facial cleansers as oil will cause the extensions to detach from your natural lashes faster.

  • Avoid sleeping face down on your pillow as this will crush your lashes. Try to sleep on your back if possible.

  • Wash your lashes with a professional lash foam cleanser regularly to remove all dirt trap in between your lash extensions and lash line.

  • Brush your lashes gently with the lash brush given to you during your appointment.

Q: Can I still put on makeup/ mascara while having lash extensions?

Do not put on any mascara on your lash extensions as it will be difficult to remove them and will cause your extensions to fall out should you rub your lashes while removing the mascara. You may still put eye makeup such as eyeshadow or eyeliner (minimally and avoid putting close to the lash line). Please remove your makeup with water base makeup cleansers as oil based products will cause your extensions to fall out faster. Please contact us for recommended brands of cleansers to use.

Q: I just done my lashes and I am not use to it, can I get a refund?

We apologize that we do not do refunds and we sincerely hope to further understand the reason. Please contact us directly.
